Forcing treatment on the mentally ill
The suspect in the recent Arizona shooting, 22-year-old Jared Loughner, had been told by community college campus police to get a mental health evaluation if he wished to return. According to a story by the Associated Press, Loughner, despite professor and classmate concerns, was never diagnosed with what experts say seems to be a clear-cut case of schizophrenia.
