PennTex Midstream Partners’ newest Lincoln Parish plant was officially commissioned Thursday in ceremonies company President Rob Bond called a “wow” moment for the young natural gas processing firm.
The Mt. Olive facility, located on Woods Road northwest of Ruston, is a 200-million-cubic-foot-per-day capacity cryogenic natural gas processing plant. The plant removes heavy substances, such as hydrocarbons, from raw natural gas so that the gas can be transported through interstate pipelines.
The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office apprehended one male for carnal knowledge of a juvenile at 11:54 p.m. on Wednesday.
Carlos Dewayne Thomas II, 19, of 10805 U.S. Highway 151, Dubach, was arrested by LPSO on U.S. Highway 33 at Kentucky Avenue at 11:54 p.m. He was arrested on one count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and the bail is yet to be set.
Third District Court Judge Tommy Rogers has ordered the board that operated Downsville Charter School until its contract was revoked last year to stop writing checks on accounts held by the school.
Rogers granted a temporary restraining order Thursday sought by attorneys representing members of the Union Parish School Board and superintendent George Cannon in a suit filed by the board of Downsville Charter School, Inc.
