Lincoln Parish Schools will resume classes on Friday morning.
“We’ve been talking with our local officials who are monitoring this, and we have been monitoring the weather situation as well,” Superintendent of Schools Danny Bell said. “But we feel like our roadways will be clear, and there will be no significant flooding. We feel it will be safe for our students and employees to return to school tomorrow.”
Cedar Creek is also scheduled to return to classes on Friday.
Eleven Cedar Creek School students received the “Louisiana Student Achievement Award” from the Louisiana ACT Council for their performance on the PLAN (the Pre-ACT) Assessment. These students are on target to meet or exceed ACT’s College Readiness Benchmarks by graduation. ACT’s College Readiness Benchmarks are empirically-based and identify the level of achievement necessary in English, mathematics, reading and science to have a successful college freshman experience.
