NATCHITOCHES — It was a winning weekend for the Ruston Daily Leader and Louisiana Tech University as the Louisiana Sports Writers Association held its annual awards banquet Sunday at The Landing Restaurant. The Daily Leader’s O.K. “Buddy” Davis and T. Scott Boatright each brought home first place awards with Davis taking his fifth straight top honors for Sports Column Writing while Boatright placed first in Headline Writing.
