Former state legislator Rick Gallot, of Gramblng, is the new president of Grambling State University. Gallot, 50, was unanimously selected as the school’s 10th president Tuesday during a special meeting of the University of Louisiana Board of Supervisors in Baton Rouge. The former state senator, representative and GSU alumnus was one of the two finalists for the job.
