The long-awaited Tarbutton Road project should be a step closer to going out for bids today. Ruston’s Board of Aldermen on Monday approved what officials hope is the final supplemental agreement with the state Department of Transportation and Development involving the project. Mayor Ronny Walker signed an agreement Monday evening and sent it overnight to DOTD administrators in Baton Rouge. “This agreement designates what part of the roadway around the junior high school is the state’s, is the city’s and is the parish’s,” Walker said.
