The prosecution in the case against alleged rapist Cameron Mays rested during Wednesday’s court proceedings. Prosecutor Mike Ruddick alleged that Mays, on or about June 4, 2012, committed aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Beginning at 9 a.m. today defense attorney James Buckley will begin his portion of the case. Testimonies during the morning portion of Wednesday’s trial included that of Ruston Police Department investigator Clint Williams, who tied accused rapist Mays to the residence where the victim was allegedly assaulted.
