An artist’s life is not always easy. Sarah Albritton is proof of that. When she was young, her mother, feeling she could not raise Albritton and her sisters, left them with various family members. Albritton ended up with her uncle, helping out and going to school. When she was 9, she began her first job as a dishwasher and cook at a local restaurant. “When I was 9, I started cooking at the Tech Hitching Post,” she said. “I was the dishwasher at night after school.” From there, she moved from restaurant to restaurant cooking for the people of Ruston.
