Dates to know for next election

The next election in Lincoln Parish will be held March 26 and will include two millage renewals for the Lincoln Parish School Board.

Here are the relevant dates and deadlines for this election.

• The deadline to register to vote through the GeauxVote Online Registration System is Saturday.

• Early voting is March 12-19 (excluding Sunday, March 13) from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• The deadline to request an absentee ballot is March 22 by 4:30 p.m., other than military and overseas voters.

• The deadline for the registrar of voters to receive a voted absentee ballot is March 25 by 4:30 p.m., other than military and overseas voters.

• On election day, the polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
