Ruston police are asking the public’s help toward solving a string of weekend vehicles burglaries.

At least 45 vehicles were hit Friday night, early Saturday morning and Saturday night, most on the north side of the city, Ruston Police Chief Steve Rogers said Tuesday.

Some of the burglaries were also in the East Mississippi Avenue area, he said.

All the vehicles were unlocked, Rogers said. The burglars took cash, weapons, electronics, and other items left in the vehicles.

“Please lock your vehicle, and take your valuables out,” Rogers said.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the burglaries or with video camera footage of possible suspects to contact the Ruston Police at 318-255-4141 or Crimestoppers of Lincoln Parish.

Crimestoppers information can be given in several ways; either by calling 318-255-1111, text a tip to “TIP515 plus your message” to CRIMES (274637), or submitting a tip online at rustonlincolncrimestoppers. com.
