Search continues for missing man

Ruston city police had no new information as of Wednesday afternoon on a local man reported missing by his family.

Michael Cooper, 44, was last seen on or about Jan. 18 on West California Avenue near the South Homer Street area, police said.

Cooper, who according to his family suffers from mental illness, is described as approximately 5-7 and weighing 160 pounds.

Cooper was reported missing by his family Friday, police said.
