Timothy Dean Gaston

Timothy Dean Gaston, 59, passed away at home surrounded by friends and family on August 2, 2023.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Alabama Presbyterian Church in Sibley, Louisiana with a memorial service starting immediately after at 11 a.m. with Dr. Allison Moody and Reverend David Buckley officiating under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.

Tim was born August 29, 1963, in West Monroe, to Aubrey and Martha Davis Gaston. He graduated from Choudrant High school, class of 1981. His career spanned over 30 years working in the oil field culminating with one of his favorite posts at Pearce Lumber with co- workers that became family.

He had an intimidating stature, but it only took a second to realize that you were in the presence of the gentlest of giants. That was Tim Gaston; always ready with a smile, to hug your neck, or to sit and visit a while.

Tim met his wife, Lori, in Texas, where they made their home for over 20 years.

As with most people he met, those close to Tim and Lori became family, from the Oil Well Club and their Texas Family to the communities of Choudrant and Sibley, that rallied around them both during Tim’s battle with cancer.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Aubrey Gaston.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Lori Gaston; his children, Skylor ( Ciara) Gaston and KimberLyne Dain; four grandchildren, Kalel, Maci, Isabella and Adonis; three siblings, Terri (Garry) Neal, Mark Gaston and Amanda Bowman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Honorary pallbearers are the enumerable precious people that Tim called friends.

Lori is hosting a celebration of Tim’s life at their home following the service, to begin at 4 p.m.

There will be an additional celebration on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 3 p.m. at the Oil Well Club, 1401 West Cotton St., Longview, Texas.

In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Alabama Presbyterian Church at 2091 Highway 145, Choudrant, 71227.
