HOUSTON — Jessica Kuster scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds and Rice shot 54 percent from the field to down Louisiana Tech 82-68 before 426 fans at Tudor Fieldhouse Wednesday night.
Tech (5-11, 0-3 C-USA) came out of the gates fast.
Junior guard Chrisstasia Walter scored the first five points and when junior Whitney Frazier scored off the glass with 16:55 to play in the opening half, the Lady Techsters led 9-4.
The lead was short-lived as the Owls used a 17-2 run to erase the deficit as the Owls built a 39-23 halftime lead.

At 8 p.m. tonight, White will be able to relive old memories of Devlin Fieldhouse as he leads the Bulldogs into a conference road contest versus the Green Wave.
The game will be televised on Cox Sports with Tim Grubbs calling the play by play and Tom Penders as the analyst.
