Three jailed in Dubach burglary

“Deputies immediately went to the suspect’s residence in Simsboro where they saw evidence connected to the burglary in plain view in a parked vehicle.”
A subsequent search of the residence revealed one of the suspects hiding and the articles stolen from the victim’s house, Harris said.
Arrested were Dustin Lamar Hargrove, 20, of Simsboro; Kristin Mechelle Gordon, 21, of Ruston; and Travis Ryan Erwin, 23, of Simsboro.

Bulldogs’ power display dumps ULM

The rule books came out, poised for a perusal and discussion by the umpires and head coaches Wade Simoneaux of Tech and Jeff Schexnaider of the Indians that lasted nearly 25 minutes. Or about as long as it might have taken for some impatient fans to leave J.C. Involvement speaks to community

We applaud the architecture students for choosing to build a Habitat home as their senior project, and we also applaud the School of Architecture’s advisers and professors for having enough faith in their students that they would be able to undertake and complete this project and for giving them guidance along the way.
Austin and her family will not be the only ones benefiting from this house. These architecture students will remember this experience for the rest of their lives and will also take with them the spirit of giving back to the community, as they did this year.

Arts and drafts: my expression

Also, it’s been about two years since I purchased a scrapbook kit, complete with almost every imaginable product, from which an amazing intricate collection of papier-mache and photographs should naturally spring with a modicum of effort.

Dubach discussion strays toward dogs

Complaints from Dubach residents over the years have ranged from dogs tearing through garbage and starting fights with other dogs to appearances of puppies who are seemingly without parents.
“We get a lot of calls where people who don’t have dogs will have a litter of puppies born under their house,” Mayor Margaret Rogers said.
“It’s sad to see (dogs) run over or dying from mange or malnutrition.
Hopefully, if we go this route, they will be better cared for.”
