Tech stumbles to Fresno State, 13-1

MESA, Ariz. — Louisiana Tech’s pitching staff allowed 13 runs and walked eight batters while the Bulldog defense committed four errors in the first three innings as No. 3 Tech dropped a 13-1 decision in seven innings to No. 2 Fresno State in the second round of the WAC tournament at Hohokam Stadium here Thursday afternoon.
Tech (33-26) moves to the elimination bracket and will face either No. 4 Nevada or No. 5 San Jose State today at 5 p.m.
The Wolf Pack and Spartans play the first elimination contest today before the survivor has to turn around and then play the Bulldogs.

Under the direction of Paradise Funeral home in Arcadia, Louisiana.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Rabb Gardebled, age 81 of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Owens Memorial Chapel.  Dr. Rick Byargeon will be officiating.  Burial will follow in Cook Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Gardebled was born November 18, 1929 in Ruston to Arthur Joel Rabb and Norma Lee Simmons Rabb. She died May 25, 2011 in Sulphur.  Mrs.

BROOKS, EDDIE BREARD (“EB”), Age 93, was born on April 16, 1918, in Ruston, LA and passed away on May 25, 2011. His life is celebrated and cherished by his nephews and nieces: Joseph Kemp, Jr., Charles Underwood, Lena Kemp-Trigg and Doris Kemp-Harris; and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 1:00 – 9:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 6449 University Hills Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75241.
