Melvin L. Langpap

A memorial service for Melvin L. Langpap will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Evans and Rev. Hulen Warren officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Melvin Ludwig Friedrich Langpap was born on June 21, 1916, in Humboldt, South Dakota. A member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls for over fifty years, he and his wife joined their daughter, Karen Jacobs and son-in-law, Dr. Edward C.

An article on the literacy of Medieval and Early Modern youth by Celia Lewis, the Charlyne Smith Wyche Endowed Professor of English and a composition coordinator at Louisiana Tech University, has been published in Children’s Literature, the Modern Language Association’s journal published annually by Johns Hopkins University Press.
