A written examination will be given on June 20, 2017, on a competitive basis to approved applicants for the purpose of placing names on the competitive employment list for the class of Firefighter/Operator in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Law and the rules of the Lincoln Parish Fire Protection District No. 1 Civil Service Board.

REGULAR MEETING OF TOWN COUNCIL
The Town Council of Dubach, Louisiana met in Regular Session Monday May 15, 2017,
at 6:30 pm at the Town Hall. Present were Honorable Robert Jensen Mayor, Council members Ruby Key, Robert Colvin, Evelyn Graham, Donna Lewis.
Absent: Monique Roberts
Citizens attended: None
The Meeting opened with Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation by Robert Colvin.

Webb, Duke to marry in June

Kellie Paige Webb, of Lake Charles, and Jacob Ivan Duke, of Ruston, proudly announce their recent engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Greg and Tammy Webb, of Lake Charles; and the granddaughter of Phillip and Patty Webb, of Montgomery, Texas; and the late Hebert Dye and Rita Dye, of Kiln, Mississippi.

Kellie is a 2014 graduate of Barbe High School and is currently attending Louisiana Tech University.

Slaughter, Scriber to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Slaughter, of Choudrant, announce the engagement of the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Lauren Elise Slaughter to Seth Allen Scriber, of Ruston.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ferracci, of Choudrant, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Slaughter, of Ruston.

Lauren is a graduate of Ruston High School and Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity of Louisiana Tech University.
