Juanita Elaine Davis Patterson ​of Grambling ​passed away on Thursday, February 2​, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was the youngest girl of nine living children to the late JULIA & FRED DAVIS. She was born​ on January 30, 1931​ in Mineral Springs, Arkansas and grew up in Bethel, Arkansas.​​ She earned a B.S. Degree in Business Education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB).​

Memorial services for Mrs. Barbara Bishop, age 61 formerly of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 6, 2017 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston. Bro. Brandon Digilormo will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Barbara worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor for Serenity Springs Specialty Hospital. She loved to paint, draw and design and create art. She always had a project going. Mrs. Bishop loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs.
