Mildred Ardatha Hall

Mildred Ardatha Hall, age 75 of Ruston, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Alpine Guest Care in Ruston. She was born June 7, 1939 in Alexandria. A memorial service for Mrs. Hall will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, April 4, 2015 at University Baptist Church in Ruston. She grew up in Alexandria, attended Bolton High School and graduated from Louisiana College with a degree in Education.

Cecil Holstead

Cecil Holstead of Port Neches, Texas died March 31, 2015 at the age of 97. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his wife of nearly 74 years, Katie Holstead and his youngest daughter, Jo Beth Williams. He is survived by his older daughters, Joyce Haese of Choudrant, Louisiana and Cecile Holstead of Port Neches. Other survivors include 8 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services for Mary F. Dosher, 83, of Ruston will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Officiating the services will be Father Frank Folino. Mrs. Dosher was born March 15, 1932 and passed away March 29, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband Taliford Harris “Pete” Dosher; and son: Keith Dosher.

Betty Ann Norris Stedman

Betty Ann Norris Stedman, 81, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2015. She was born in Ruston, Louisiana, on November 20, 1933, the daughter of Elgin Lewis and Clara V Moore Norris. While attending Louisiana Tech University she married Roy Edward Stedman, who preceded her in death in 2009.

Ronnie B. Suggs

A Celebration of Life Service for Ronnie B. Suggs, age 68, of Bossier City, formerly of Ruston, will be held Monday, March 30, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Lisbon United Methodist Church in Lisbon. Brother Terry Willis will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Lisbon Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Ronnie was born on December 11, 1946 in Lisbon and was called home to be with his Lord on March 29, 2015 following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Willard S. Mahfouz

Mrs. Willard S. Mahfouz, 87, of Lake Charles, passed away Thursday, surrounded by loved ones. 
Mrs. Mahfouz was a life-long resident of Louisiana, graduating from Louisiana Tech University in 1949.  She attended Saint Margaret’s Catholic Church in Lake Charles, and was a member of the Louisiana Retired State Employees Association.

Ellen Ruth Collins Potts

Services to honor the life of Ellen Ruth Collins Potts will be held 10:00a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015, at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, Louisiana, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Visitation to encourage her family will be held at Temple Baptist Church on Sunday, March 22 from 2:00-5:00p.m. She succumbed to cancer on March 20, 2015, after a battle which began in September of 2010.
Ellen Ruth was born to the union of Frank Edward and Mamie Delaughter Collins in Port Arthur, Texas, on May 22, 1937. She was predeceased by her parents and older brother Thomas Edward Collins.

Mary Frances "Fran" Gilbert Stuckey

Mary Frances 'Fran' Gilbert Stuckey, passed away Sunday, March 15th in  Baton Rouge. She was a life-long English teacher during her husband's long military  career, and after settling in Baton Rouge she taught English at Episcopal  High School for many years before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Alexander Gilbert and Frances Inez Bass Gilbert of Bastrop, her older brother Larry Gilbert, and her two infant daughters Laura and Lisa Stuckey.

Opal Phillips Lyles

Funeral services for Opal Phillips Lyles, 91, of Ruston will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Temple Baptist Church chapel with Dr. Reggie Bridges and Bro. Dale Oden officiating. Interment will follow at Cook Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Ruston. Visitation will be at the church from 1PM until time of service.
She was born May 11, 1923 in Quitman, LA and passed away at her residence on March 15, 2015 after a brief illness.

Daniel D. Drewry

Daniel Dewayne Drewry was born on June 13, 1981. He left this world peacefully in his sleep on March 11, 2015 at the age of 33.
Daniel lived his entire life in Ruston, LA where he made many friends and was a positive influence on all who knew him. At the time of his death, Daniel was an Assistant Manager at WalMart where he always found a way to give a smile and lend a hand when needed. Daniel will be remembered for his tender personality, his loyalty to his friends and for loving his family beyond measure.
He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Wayne Drewry.
