District or non-district, it isn’t mattering this season for Ruston High School’s baseball team.
After sweeping a three-game District 2-5A series against Monroe Ouachita High School last weekend, the Bearcats rolled past Minden 9-0 in a non-league game on Monday.
The win was No. 16 against four losses for Ruston, which will play a 2-5A contest at Bastrop Thursday starting at 6 p.m.

GRAMBLING — Grambling State University rallied late before running out of time as Southern University escaped with a 59-53 Southwestern Athletic Conference win before a crowd of 725 at the Frederick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
Trailing by as many as 19 points with 7:40 remaining in the contest, the Tigers went on a 19-6 run to close out the contest. They simply started that run a little too late as they fell to 2-10 overall and 0-3 in the SWAC.
