I had such an experience Sunday night. While discussing with a friend the prevalence of sexual assault, I realized that I could think of not one person I know that has not been affected by the issue.

And when I speak of sexual assault, I am including everything from rape to a situation that could have easily gotten out of hand, something that made one party uncomfortable.

Yet, none of the events, that I am aware of, were ever reported to the police.

The reasons for that are as varied as the circumstances surrounding the transgression, I’m sure.
