The countdown has begun, and in a little less than three weeks students will hear the first school bell ring heralding in a new school year.
In order to make the process as smooth as possible, Mary Null, director of instruction and personnel for the Lincoln Parish School Board, encourages parents to make sure all school business is taken care of on time.
“For parents to avoid possible delays in placement or waiting in line at the school board office for registration, we’re encouraging them to register before August,” Null said. “Also, registering ahead of time gives the students a sense of comfort about where they’re going and when they’re starting. That way things are not rushed at the last moment.”
