Williams to guide RHS track
There was a time back in the mid-1980s that Jimmy Williams admittedly didn’t know cross country from horseshoes.
For all he knew at the time, cross country might have meant driving across the country along Route 66.
Spin the calendar, though, 25 years later and Williams is immersed in cross country, the sport.
And also track and field.
Both of which he’ll be doing starting with the 2011-12 school year.
Williams has been announced as the new head coach for cross country and also track and field for both the boys’ and girls’ teams at Ruston High.
He succeeds Dave Anderson, who recently resigned to pursue other opportunities.
