Because of the passage of a $33 million bond proposition to renovate every school in Ruston which is part of the Lincoln Parish School System and a $6.5 million bond proposition to renovate Simsboro High, the school board received additional MFP (Minimum Foundation Program) funding from the state. This is because the added revenue boosted the wealth factor, which affects the MFP.
