Dancing can keep Dixie
Starting at 7 p.m. Ain’t Misbehavin’, an eight-year-old band from Lincoln Parish, will present “The Music That Memories are Made Of” at the Ruston Civic Center. The seven-member group will play music from the 1920s, ’30s, ’40s and ’50s ideal for dancing or just sitting and socializing while reminiscing.
“There’s not really a place people can go and have calm, relaxing dancing,” band director Randall Barron said. “We concentrate on the swing ‘big band’ era although we do a little bit of everything — ’50s and country line dancing music.”
