Retiree comments on education today
In 1999 I was among those first trained to lead the Louisiana Accountability Program in our schools. We spent weeks with state department personnel learning how to administer the program and having input in making this program and our schools successful. We were excited and anxious to get started. We were optimistic and encouraged. The plan was good and it addressed some knowledge of the unique abilities of individual students. Later I served on a task force which developed testing accommodations and strategies for testing our students with special needs.
