Bulldogs’ hoopsters lose
LARAMIE, Wyo. — The Louisiana Tech men’s basketball (2-3) team dropped the last game of the Jim Thorpe Classic to host-school Wyoming (6-1) 73-58 Sunday night at Arena-Auditorium, as sophomore guard Cordarius Johnson scored 16 points, 12 of them in the second half.
After the Bulldogs tied the game at 6-6 at the 16:27 mark of the first half on a three-pointer by sophomore Kenyon McNeail, the Cowboys went on a 12-2 run over the next 6:10 to take an 18-8 advantage. The run was ended on a three-point play from senior guard Trevor Gaskins.
