Techsters upset MSU, 63-62
Maybe this is the “jump start” that Louisiana Tech University’s Lady Techsters needed.
On Sunday afternoon, with nearly 2,300 fans watching on at the Thomas Assembly Center, the Lady Techsters survived a 63-62 victory over Southeastern Conference member Mississippi State, which had lost only once in its previous eight games.
Senior guard Jasmine Bendolph led the win with a team-high 12 points and it was a field goal with 24 seconds left by guard Courtney Hayes that gave the Techsters their winning margin.
With the win, the Lady Techsters upped their record to 4-6 going into a 7 p.m., Tuesday night contest at Arkansas State University.
