Snubbing 2012 resolutions
Many movies, television shows and popular songs through the years have regaled us with how precious every moment should be, popularly depicted as the question “What would you do if you only had an hour/day/week to live?”
Writers have spun tales of love, loss and self-fulfillment around this concept. They often do so by actually showing some unhappy person embracing life as they live what little bit they have left. But, I often think they’re forgetting something about humans. Many of us expend a great deal of energy to end bad habits (smoking, overeating, overworking, bad relationships) so that we can live better lives.
