RHS students conserve water

Close to 60 Ruston High School students participated in the first annual Walk-a-thon to raise awareness about the global water problem on Thursday, which was designated as World Water Day.

Ruston High School students took it upon themselves Thursday to raise awareness of the global water crisis.

Lindsay Bolton, ninth grade teacher at RHS, said this was the first year for the event.

“In all the freshman New Tech classes we did a cross-curricular program on Africa and the global water crisis,” she said. “Since today was World Water Day we decided to do the event as a fundraiser and to raise awareness.”
