Court rules in Alexander's favor
The 10-2 ruling reversed a lower court decision that would have allowed a new period of qualification.
"I feel real good," Alexander said from the Republican National Convention in New York Wednesday morning. "I have tremendous confidence in the judicial process and my legal defense team. All I ever asked to do was run as a conservative Republican and the courts have allowed me to do this."
The appeals judges said the lower court judge "committed legal error" and overstepped his bounds when he ordered that qualifying be reopened.
