Navigating a learning curve
While at my parents’ home one evening, I decided to start working on my Monday column. I had planned to write about another topic entirely until I realized my mother’s old computer had been packed away and her brand-new, shiny Mac was still in its box.
“It will give you a chance to set it up. Install the Word for Mac,” was her solution to my predicament. Up until that moment, I had not realized I had been waiting for a chance to “set up” her computer. But, since I was the person who had convinced her to switch from a P.C. to a Mac, I felt obligated.
