Peach Fest has something for everyone

The 2012 Squire Creek Louisiana Peach Festival will provide a sweet source of entertainment this weekend with family-oriented fun and excitement for everyone.

Festivities began Saturday with the crowning of new pageant queens, and activities will start up again Friday morning beginning with a Kids’ Fishing Tournament and Cookery Contest.

Drawing more than 20,000 attendees each year, the Peach Festival is believed to be the oldest agriculture-based festival in Louisiana.
