Beat the heat, don't waste money
I am especially sensitive to the smell of natural gas. At least once a week, somewhere around town — whether in my own house, at work or just walking around — I think there is a gas leak.
Occasionally, I’m actually right. But, most of the time, it’s just that I can smell the scent they place in the gas to make you aware of gas leaks a little better than most people (except possibly for pregnant women, who reportedly can smell everything). I’ve always thought this was an especially useful talent, because personally I’d rather have to pay the man from the gas company an extra fee for a false alarm than to die horribly in my sleep.
