Audit issues for DWCS
It has been a summer of discontent for D’Arbonne Woods Charter School, which is trying to deal with recently released findings from its 2010-11 audit and a police investigation into forgery.
The audit report is the second for the school, and like the first audit, which showed a lack of internal controls, the most recent findings show many of the same issues.
“We have been doing everything we can to right the wrongs,” said executive director Pamela Schooler. “We have been working closely with a CPA who specializes in educational finance to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.”
