Colvin, Caraway set to marry in Bossier
Mike and Janette Colvin, of Bernice, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching wedding of their daughter, Laura Colvin, to Harper Caraway, of Bossier City.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of W.C. and Nellie Russell, of Bernice, and the late Melvin and Juanita Colvin.
Laura is a 2005 Cedar Creek alumna who graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 2009. She obtained a doctorate in physical therapy at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in May.
She is employed with Melanie Massey Physical Therapy.
The groom is the son of Judge Jay Caraway and Sandra Caraway, of Bossier City. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. James J. Caraway, of Monroe, and Lillie Harper and the late Floyd G. Harper, of Haynesville.
Harper is a 2002 graduate of Airline High School and a 2006 graduate of Louisiana Tech University. He is employed with Winn Surveying and Engineering.
The couple plan to marry in a 6 p.m. ceremony on Oct. 20 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Bossier City.
