Autism center hopes for progress
Most parents worry about what would happen to their children if something happened to them.
For a parent whose child has autism, Tiffany White, founder of the Hope Center for Autism, said the fear can be unimaginable.
“The most challenging thing is you worry about his future because he is so dependent,” White said. “After the initial heartbreak of realizing ‘My child is different,’ you realize he requires a lot more special attention. It’s a big concern. Will he be able to take care of himself?”
