John Anderson Doles, age 89, of Arcadia formerly of Monroe, services will be held Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville. Officiating the service will be Rev. John Mabray. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery in Farmerville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
Mr. Doles was born December 23, 1922 and passed away October 25, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Wade Doles.
Mr. Doles was a member and Elder of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Monroe.
He is survived by his daughters: Deborah Ramsey and husband Barry of Arcadia, LA and Rebecca Chaney and husband Gene of Orlando, FL.; grandchildren: Lauren Ramsey Roberts, Jonathan Ramsey, Michael Chaney and Robert Chaney; great grandchildren: Abigail Ramsey, and Mason Roberts; sister: Jane Pippins of Woodworth, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church in Monroe, LA.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Funeral services for Myrtle Wista Franklin Duke, age 94, of Dubach will be held Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Mineral Springs Baptist Church near Dubach. Officiating the service will be Rev. Greg Tipton. Interment will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Myrtle Wista Franklin Duke was born December 12, 1917 to Alfred and Lucille Gallman Franklin,
and went to be with Jesus on October 25, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Ms. Duke was surrounded in her home the last days on this earth by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Garland Duke, parents: Alfred and Lucille Franklin; son-in-law: Dewey Thomas Howard and grandsons: Dewey Howard and Timothy Howard

She lived in Mineral Springs most of her life. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School Class and the Shoebox Ministry.

She is survived by her daughter: Louella Duke Howard and her son, James Preston “J.P.” Duke and wife Ann Dumas Duke; brother: Theodore Franklin all of Mineral Springs; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank David Turner who was the Home Health Nurse that tended to Ms. Duke during this time.

Pallbearers will be her grandson: Danny Howard, Jeffrey Duke, Todd Duke, Jason Duke, and great grandsons: Craig Dickerson and Dane Howard.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
