Lab dedicated in Sims Honor
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held yesterday in George T. Madison Hall, room 207, to dedicate a new computer lab in her honor. The lab was made possible by a grant that Sims and a colleague, Dr. Tamara Powell, an assistant professor of English, wrote in October 2002.
Sims parents, Howard and Barbara Pepper were on hand to cut the ribbon and her husband, David Sims, placed a commemorative plaque in her honor by the entrance to the lab. David Sims said the lab was something Sims always wanted to do.
