City of Ruston to add turning lanes
Most anyone who drives down U.S. Highway 167 near Reynolds Drive around 5 p.m. encounters traffic congestion.
Within the next year, action will likely be taken to help facilitate traffic flow in this area.
Ed Pittman, Ruston assistant city administrator, said the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has authorized $800,000 for a project at the intersection. There would be a right turn lane on U.S. 167 onto Reynolds Drive and a right turn lane on westbound Reynolds Drive onto U.S. 167.
