In two short years, Michael White of Louisiana Tech University has put an indelible imprint on success for men’s basketball in the Western Athletic Conference.

He was rewarded for it Sunday afternoon when he was chosen by his peers as the Don Haskins Coach of the Year for the 2012-13 season.

White earned the honor after guiding the Bulldogs (26-5, 16-2) to a share of the regular season championship, as well as recently compiling a national-best 18-game winning streak and making a one-week appearance in the Associated Press national Top 25 poll.
