Grambling ready for tax vote
The tax was originally designated to benefit in its entirety, the Grambling Fire Department. Andrus and the council are asking voters in Grambling to rededicate 35 percent of the proceeds of the millage to other capital outlay projects.
“This is not new money,” Andrus said. “We are asking the voters to take a portion of the money and dedicate it to capital outlay projects, namely, the renovation of the recreational center. We will continue to dedicate the remaining 65 percent to the fire department. So please, vote yes.”
