GSU turns around diamond season
When the teams lined up to play in the recent league postseason tournament in Baton Rouge, Grambling was among the participants.
And the Tigers let it be known that they weren’t just making a token appearance.
They were still hanging around in the late night hours of last Saturday, pushing eventual champ and longtime nemesis Southern University to the edge of elimination.
A 12-inning marathon that GSU radio sports network announcer Santoria Black called “one of the most exciting games in school history” wound up 10-9 in favor of the Jaguars.
