Ruston man gets 7-year sentence

Convicted home burglar will have to serve first 20 months

The Third Judicial Court has sentenced a Ruston man to seven years in prison for simple burglary charges in the Green Mountain Drive and High Point Drive areas of Ruston.

William Henry Ledford, who was 18 when Ruston police arrested him last August on two simple burglary charges, will serve seven years in prison. All but the first 20 months are suspended, according to courthouse officials.

Police arrested Ledford last summer and charged him and one other man, Tyler Marsh, 18 at the time of his arrest, Quitman, with two separate burglaries on Green Mountain Drive and High Point Drive last July.
