Don’t let summer fun turn into tragic situation
When a young person — a child — dies, it’s terrible news.
But when six die at the same time — in the same needless way — it’s an unimaginable tragedy.
North Louisiana faced such a tragedy this week with the deaths of six Shreveport teenagers, who drowned after falling into a sinkhole while playing in the Red River.
None of the children, ranging in age from 13-18, knew how to swim. Neither did any of the adults there with them.
