Adam Van (12) and the Cedar Creek Cougars will be in action on Friday as they head to Delhi to play a District 2-1A game against the Bears. Also in action in their second-to-last games of the regular season will be the Ruston Bearcats, who head to Monroe to take on Wossman and the Grambling Lab Kittens, who have a 7 p.m. home contest against Arcadia.

Area residents have the opportunity to help 4 Paws Rescue, the largest local animal rescue organization, by purchasing pumpkins from Elli Dickerson, pictured above, who hosts an annual Pumpkin Patch, located at 3980 Louisiana Highway 822. This has been a great year with our “new” kindergarten, first and second grades! I am so proud of our students, parents and teachers who have made this transition successful. Good luck to our second graders as they become third graders at RES. We are also looking forward to welcoming our new kindergartners and to having returning students. The Grambling Historic Preservation Study Committee meeting recently announced whom the committee will interview for their oral history portion of their Historic Preservation District Report.
The committee announced their intentions to interview Grambling residents Louise Burks, Lawrence Garner, Ruby Billups, Mildred Gallot, Thelma Williams, Reginald Owens, Joe Holland, Sheila Holland Douglas, Jon Givens Sidney Branch, Robertine Malone and members of the St. Luke Episcopal Church.
The committee’s goal is to establish a Historic Preservation District in Grambling.
