At approximately 9:17 a.m. Sunday, Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Deontrell Marquis Hunter for two charges.
Hunter, 19, of 108 Abbott, was arrested at 2410 Beacon Light Road for aggravated battery and resisting an officer.
According to the affidavit, police were dispatched after reports of Hunter hitting his mother in the head with a pistol.
Upon arriving at the scene, Hunter reportedly fled on foot to the trails between Blueberry Hill and Richards Street. Officers spotted Hunter on the trails, identified themselves and Hunter reportedly fled on foot again.
Mike Anderson, also known as “The Dulcimer Guy,” will conduct two performances at the Library Events Center on Tuesday,. One show will be at 2 p.m. for children and again at 6 p.m. for adults and families.
Anderson is a teacher, author and musician. The performance will feature many musical instruments, including jaw harp, dulcimer and nose flute. Anderson will lead sing-alongs, tell stories and show how he plays his different instruments.
Wilmer Kimble leaned on her walking cane, aiming her cell phone camera at the growing pile of dust and splintered boards on the other side of the yellow caution tape.
“There goes my bedroom and my bathroom and my closet,” Kimble said, as the steam shovel’s budget bit into mangled window blinds and drywall that was an apartment at Ruston’s Pecan Villa senior housing facility.
The 60-unit facility, located at 611 S. Bonner St., is undergoing a facelift. One wing was demolished Wednesday in the first phase of project.
