After months of waiting, the Union Lincoln Regional Water Supply Initiative has received word from the state that the $1.5 million the group has already spent on a project to help the Sparta Aquifer will qualify as matching funds needed to receive capital outlay dollars.
“The request to use the money we’ve spent for a match is approved,” Richard Durrett, director of North Louisiana operations for Waggoner Engineering, the firm that’s been advising the ULRWSI, told the group on Thursday.
A Texas woman was arrested and charged with auto theft, possession of marijuana and possession of schedule II drugs Sunday night in Lincoln Parish, according to the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office.
According to reports, LPSO received a call from Louisiana State Police about a stolen vehicle headed into Lincoln Parish. They reportedly found the vehicle being driven by Sarah Holloway, 24, of Willis Point, Texas.
Holloway reportedly stated that she was heading back to Bossier after leaving sometime Saturday following an argument with her boyfriend.
