Call to Order
Mrs. Bromell called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
Mr. Russell presented the invocation.
Review of Mission Statement
Mrs. Bromell presented the mission statement.
Approval of Agenda
Action Item #1: Mr. Brasuell made a motion to approve the agenda. Mr. Garriga seconded.
Approval of Minutes
Action Item #2: Mr. Garriga made a motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. Mr. Brasuell seconded. All present said aye. Motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Edmiston gave his report stating that the lodging tax was down 28.9 percent for the month. The decrease is due to the fact that three hotel properties failed to report their taxes on time. For the year, the lodging tax collection is down 1.6 percent. By all accounts revenue is where it was projected to be for the year. During the month of October, the Piney Hills Classic was held at Lincoln Parish Park with over 600 participates.
Action Item #3: Mr. Strebeck made a motion to approve the President/CEO report. Mr. Dyson seconded. All present said aye. Motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Strebeck presented the financials. Revenue for the month of October was $38,338 with expenses of $39,929. Year to date, revenue is $37,567 over expense for the year. He echoed Mr. Edmiston statement that the lodging tax is slightly up.
Action Item #4: Mr. Russell made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report. Mr. Hogan seconded. All present said aye. Motion passed unanimously.
Action Item #5: Mr. Brasuell made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Strebeck seconded. All present said aye. Motion passed unanimously.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:00 a.m.
Mission Statement: To create, preserve and enhance overnight stays and quality visitor experiences through the promotion and development of the tourism economy of Lincoln Parish.
