From playing with the hard rocking Los Angeles band Hydrovibe to touring as guitarist for singer/songwriter Schuyler Fisk and her mother Sissy Spacek, Ruston native Mat Dauzat has always loved a wide variety of music.
Dauzat returns home this weekend as his acoustic-based band Dauzat /St. Marie performs at 9 p.m. Saturday at Sundown Tavern.
Bank of Ruston is pleased to announce the appointment of its new chairman of the board in addition to three new board members.
Dan Reneau, president emeritus of Louisiana Tech University, has been named Bank of Ruston’s chairman of the board. Reneau takes the place of Judge Tommy Rogers who has served as chairman of the board for many years and has resigned from the Board upon his recent election as district judge. Bank of Ruston has also elected three new members to serve on its Board: Mike Coyle, Bart Dugdale, and Jeff McGehee.
HOUSTON — Quitman native Timothy Stewart, director of community meals/transportation at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston, was re-elected president of the Meals on Wheels Association of Texas (MOWAT) at its recent annual conference.
“We are fortunate to have Tim on our staff and the association is lucky to have him at the helm of the volunteer board,” said Joel Dinkin, executive vice-president of the ERJCC.
